In the Alan Ball movie Towelhead, she played the 13-year old Lebanese American teenager Jasira who is swept up in a storm of emotions in the context that of U.S. intervention in Iraq in the Gulf War. Following that, she was named among Variety's 10 Actors To See. The year 2009 was the time she was the powerful Taslima in Crossing Over.
